Summer

Today was the last day of school for Aidan. One year down only 12 more to go! I told him I was so excited for him to be a 1st grader. He replied, "I'm not anything right now, it is summer."

I am not sure how I feel about it being summer time already. This means that for the next 75 days in a row (not that I'm counting or anything) there will be 4 kids at home everyday. Not that I don't love my children, but the big boys are always easier to handle when they are by themselves - when they are together it is constant noise, rough housing and competition. I am not sure I have the energy to keep up with this all summer long, not to mention the constant entertainment they are going to request. I have a few ideas (swimming lessons, library, zoo, nature center, fish hatchery) but that might get me through a few weeks. I am open for suggestion or ideas. I'll let you know how I am doing in a month or so. Tomorrow is my big shopping trip - it proved to be a bad idea last time to take all 4 kids with me. I am hoping I can convince Jared to make it a 'bring your kids to work day' tomorrow.

Moving on to the baby in the house . . .

Liam is now 3 1/2 mos old. He is a very good baby and usually only fusses when he is hungry. He is sleeping 4-5 hr stretches at night (thank goodness). He is continually adored by his big brother Eli. Liam rolled over from his back to his belly yesterday for the first time. He was just slightly elevated on a blanket so that may have helped him a little. :-)
Here is a picture of Liam smiling when we were at Dollywood last week.

We also took the boys to an Air Fair here in town last Saturday. They had a good time looking at the helicopter and airplanes.
