Girls Night

Last night was the Father/Son campout with church. I get off easy since I have all boys, although Liam did stay behind - he's just a little too small for my comfort to go camping with all the big boys without the supervision of his mommy too. I had to work yesterday and couldn't find a sitter for Liam. Jared wanted to leave around 2 or 3pm to get up there and get settled and let the boys play. I ended up having to find coverage for the last half of my shift which is sometimes a pain to do, but I got lucky. I came home got the boys packed and off to camping and it was just Liam and me. We met up with a friend from work. My friend and I are both trying to lose some of our baby weight and had started a new diet. I am down 9lbs now with only 6 more to go. So Liam and Eli's baby weights are gone...just two more babies to go. It will be nice to get back to the weight I was when I got married. We decided with our weight loss it was time to go shopping. A new swimsuit was our goal. Sadly I have not purchased a new swimsuit in 4 years...I haven't been too interested in getting the post baby body in a swimsuit period, but now I'm feeling better about it.
We shopped for 4.5 hrs. It was great!!! We each found 2 swimsuits and 1 for her little girl. It was a great night and Liam as always was a great sport. He hardly fussed at all - only when he was hungry.
Liam slept til after 8 this morning and now are headed out again to finish up some more shopping. Man having only 1 kid to take around is really really easy!

I had so much fun last night! Liam was wonderful and always so happy and smiling. We definately need to go shopping again soon or just go out to dinner and movie.

Liam's first time on River Rampage - he got drenched but loved every minute of it! Doesn't he look so small! We wanted to do one last fun summer trip for the boys before school starts this Thursday. We took a day trip to Dollywood. We got there a little after the park opened and it was not very crowded at all. We walked on almost every ride and if we had to wait it wasn't longer than a few minutes. Last time we were there in May Adley was just shy of being able to ride all the big rides. We learned about a place where they will measure you and give you an armband that has the appropriate color that corresponds with your height category. This way you are measured once and simply just have to show your armband to get on the ride. Adley was thrilled that he was tall enough this time to ride any ride in the park. Man do I love this little boy! He is full of squeals, smiles, slobbers, hugs, crumbs and dirt. He is at such a fun age. Liam says a lot through the faces he makes because he is quite stubborn and shy and still not wanting to talk much. He says a hand full of words, shakes his head yes and no and is starting to make different sounds. He is making progress so I am not too worried anymore. And if you haven't heard or noticed....no more pacifier....Yay! Liam is growing up so fast but is still my most snugly baby. He loves to rock in the chair before nap and bed and when he gets up in the morning he often times runs to my room to crawl in bed with me for more snuggles. I just love it! Up next, to turn his crib into a toddler bed....then all signs of 'babyness' will be gone, ah so sad! Liam learned how to climb anything recently, kind of scary! EB awareness week!

This week is EB awareness week! EB stand for Epidermolysis Bullosa. It is a rare, genetic skin disease that involves the connective tissues of your skin. The slightest friction to the skin can cause severe blistering. The EB kids are referred to as 'Butterfly children' because their skin is so fragile. To learn more go to http://www.debra.org/ . I came across this disease through a blog about little Jonah. You can follow Jonah by clicking on his picture to the right. I have since come across several EB kids that I follow on a regular basis. EB is a horrible, painful disease. This week I will be running in a 5K race in support of EB. A few of my friends from work and myself made shirts that have the kids we follow on the back. Unfortunately shortly after the shirt was made little sweet Bella passed away. She was at the University of Minnesota for a clinical trial for an EB bone marrow transplant.
