Dollywood

Yesterday we took the boys to Dollywood. We have already been a couple of times this summer and since we had such a good time we decided to go for the day. Aidan has been in school for 3 weeks already and Adley in preschool for 2 weeks. We thought the boys deserved a little trip. The weather was great - although a little warm - but Dollywood has plenty of rides that you get wet on so that helped a lot. We discovered this time around that there are rides that Eli is big enough to ride on - so he enjoyed not having to sit in the stroller most of the day. Here are some pictures:

Jared was quite tired after pulling with Adley and then having to pull with Aidan, the little boys weren't much help.

An update on the baby: I go for my ultrasound next Monday (22nd), hopefully they will be able to tell us what we are having. Although I did peek at work with our US machine - I am pretty sure what we are having but we will let you all know for sure next week.

Eli's new words: Hi, Yes, Nose, Eye, Snack (he always runs into the kitchen and yells 'nack, nack' and he gets louder until he gets something to eat).
Eli can now point to and identify his nose, mouth, tongue and eye.

That looks like so much fun!!! I was laughing so hard at your bee ride comment. :-) I can not believe we still have to wait till the 22nd to find out what you are having, so exciting!

what a fun trip, I wish we would have gone there when I visited! maybe my whole family will make it out there one day and we can all go! great pictures, miss you guys

what a fun day for boys, i'll send mine out next time and you guys can just have a big "boy" party.......especially if we find out that's what you are having. =)

Liam's first time on River Rampage - he got drenched but loved every minute of it! Doesn't he look so small! We wanted to do one last fun summer trip for the boys before school starts this Thursday. We took a day trip to Dollywood. We got there a little after the park opened and it was not very crowded at all. We walked on almost every ride and if we had to wait it wasn't longer than a few minutes. Last time we were there in May Adley was just shy of being able to ride all the big rides. We learned about a place where they will measure you and give you an armband that has the appropriate color that corresponds with your height category. This way you are measured once and simply just have to show your armband to get on the ride. Adley was thrilled that he was tall enough this time to ride any ride in the park. Man do I love this little boy! He is full of squeals, smiles, slobbers, hugs, crumbs and dirt. He is at such a fun age. Liam says a lot through the faces he makes because he is quite stubborn and shy and still not wanting to talk much. He says a hand full of words, shakes his head yes and no and is starting to make different sounds. He is making progress so I am not too worried anymore. And if you haven't heard or noticed....no more pacifier....Yay! Liam is growing up so fast but is still my most snugly baby. He loves to rock in the chair before nap and bed and when he gets up in the morning he often times runs to my room to crawl in bed with me for more snuggles. I just love it! Up next, to turn his crib into a toddler bed....then all signs of 'babyness' will be gone, ah so sad! Liam learned how to climb anything recently, kind of scary! It's been a while . . .

since I last posted. We have been so busy this month. Adley had his Christmas program at his preschool - they studied Italy and dressed so cute. They sang the song, "when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore . . ." (not sure of the exact title). Adley has sung it several times since to many people. I think he might be musical when he gets older. We all recovered from our sickness and made the journey to Arizona to see my family. We spent 12 days there and had a wonderful time. Surprisingly it was warmer here at home while we were gone then it was in Arizona. We got to go to the Lego store, which the boys loved. We played at a really fun park, visited with friends, made a gingerbread house and sugar cookies, ate at our favorite places, went to the movies, enjoyed a visit from Santa at the house and tried to get in some rest.
