AZ trip part 3

We spent Christmas Eve making cookies for ourselves and Santa and drinking hot chocolate with a candy cane in it (so yummy!) The kids played and then we had a story by my mom and the kids got to open one traditional Christmas present from her - new PJ's. My brothers kids did a cute little Christmas song about Santa having a cold too - it was so funny and they did a great job!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was nice to actually get to spend Christmas day with my family. We didn't have to fly home on Christmas Eve this year so I could work. I didn't have to worry about being home and being called into work either. It was very relaxing and fun just being with Jared, the kids and my family. The rest of my siblings and their families joined us later in the day and we had a great Christmas dinner together.

Eli loves to spend time with his Grandpa's. He spent all day yesterday outside in the cold with Jared's dad 'helping' cut down trees and split wood.

Christmas in NC - the day we got home from AZ we exchanged Christmas presents with Jared's parents. The kids got Hogwarts Castle in Legos - they were so excited!!!!
and Liam got a slide - which he loves!!!!

That's all for our trip to AZ!!!! We had such a wonderful time and enjoyed the warmer weather.

Liam's first time on River Rampage - he got drenched but loved every minute of it! Doesn't he look so small! We wanted to do one last fun summer trip for the boys before school starts this Thursday. We took a day trip to Dollywood. We got there a little after the park opened and it was not very crowded at all. We walked on almost every ride and if we had to wait it wasn't longer than a few minutes. Last time we were there in May Adley was just shy of being able to ride all the big rides. We learned about a place where they will measure you and give you an armband that has the appropriate color that corresponds with your height category. This way you are measured once and simply just have to show your armband to get on the ride. Adley was thrilled that he was tall enough this time to ride any ride in the park. Man do I love this little boy! He is full of squeals, smiles, slobbers, hugs, crumbs and dirt. He is at such a fun age. Liam says a lot through the faces he makes because he is quite stubborn and shy and still not wanting to talk much. He says a hand full of words, shakes his head yes and no and is starting to make different sounds. He is making progress so I am not too worried anymore. And if you haven't heard or noticed....no more pacifier....Yay! Liam is growing up so fast but is still my most snugly baby. He loves to rock in the chair before nap and bed and when he gets up in the morning he often times runs to my room to crawl in bed with me for more snuggles. I just love it! Up next, to turn his crib into a toddler bed....then all signs of 'babyness' will be gone, ah so sad! Liam learned how to climb anything recently, kind of scary! It's been a while . . .

since I last posted. We have been so busy this month. Adley had his Christmas program at his preschool - they studied Italy and dressed so cute. They sang the song, "when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore . . ." (not sure of the exact title). Adley has sung it several times since to many people. I think he might be musical when he gets older. We all recovered from our sickness and made the journey to Arizona to see my family. We spent 12 days there and had a wonderful time. Surprisingly it was warmer here at home while we were gone then it was in Arizona. We got to go to the Lego store, which the boys loved. We played at a really fun park, visited with friends, made a gingerbread house and sugar cookies, ate at our favorite places, went to the movies, enjoyed a visit from Santa at the house and tried to get in some rest.
