Good News!!!

So we have a few things to tell everybody. The first is that Jared passed his real estate licensing exam this morning on his first attempt. He is so happy to have that out of the way. He has already applied for one job here in town at the busiest real estate agency. We will keep you up to date with regards to that.
Also yesterday Adley went pee pee in the potty - TWICE!!!. We hope that this means he is starting to show interest in becoming potty trained as the double duty on diapers is gross and expensive. He also is telling us when he is stinky. So obviously he is not liking the feeling of that on his bottom too much either. Keep your fingers crossed. Of course today he hasn't wanted to use the potty but I won't push him - it gets me too frustrated and from learning from my experience with Aidan I just need to let him do it on his own time.
Also I have included a picture of a recent quilt top that I have finished. I started it back in Jan '06, but set it aside around May '06 due to having other things to do. So I got it out about 3 weeks ago and finished it up. I just need to find someone to quilt it for me. This quilt will be going on my bed. I also have another quilt that is about half done and should be done in the next few months. Quilting is something that Jared's mom taught me and I love it. I love looking back at something so pretty and saying - 'wow I did that' - very rewarding. I would love to open a quilting/fabric store. Who knows maybe down the road sometime!!!!

Congratulations Jared, now you, me, Steve and Blake can open a Real Estate Business in Arizona!! good job Adley for using the potty, I bet you can't wait to only have one in diapers! The quilt looks awesome and I get so many compliments on the one you made Ashlyn... have fun at work tomorrow!

Hey Guys, Love the blog! Congrats to Jared on passing the Real Estate Exam, and on getting Adley using the potty. We're working on it with Gabe, but it's slow in coming (he's an independent little cuss). Speaking of the little monster, we took him to see Transformers last night - he loved the explosions. I've got to say it was possibly the best movie ever - it definitely lived up to the hype. I feel better about my childhood now.

Liam's first time on River Rampage - he got drenched but loved every minute of it! Doesn't he look so small! We wanted to do one last fun summer trip for the boys before school starts this Thursday. We took a day trip to Dollywood. We got there a little after the park opened and it was not very crowded at all. We walked on almost every ride and if we had to wait it wasn't longer than a few minutes. Last time we were there in May Adley was just shy of being able to ride all the big rides. We learned about a place where they will measure you and give you an armband that has the appropriate color that corresponds with your height category. This way you are measured once and simply just have to show your armband to get on the ride. Adley was thrilled that he was tall enough this time to ride any ride in the park. Man do I love this little boy! He is full of squeals, smiles, slobbers, hugs, crumbs and dirt. He is at such a fun age. Liam says a lot through the faces he makes because he is quite stubborn and shy and still not wanting to talk much. He says a hand full of words, shakes his head yes and no and is starting to make different sounds. He is making progress so I am not too worried anymore. And if you haven't heard or noticed....no more pacifier....Yay! Liam is growing up so fast but is still my most snugly baby. He loves to rock in the chair before nap and bed and when he gets up in the morning he often times runs to my room to crawl in bed with me for more snuggles. I just love it! Up next, to turn his crib into a toddler bed....then all signs of 'babyness' will be gone, ah so sad! Liam learned how to climb anything recently, kind of scary! It's been a while . . .

since I last posted. We have been so busy this month. Adley had his Christmas program at his preschool - they studied Italy and dressed so cute. They sang the song, "when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore . . ." (not sure of the exact title). Adley has sung it several times since to many people. I think he might be musical when he gets older. We all recovered from our sickness and made the journey to Arizona to see my family. We spent 12 days there and had a wonderful time. Surprisingly it was warmer here at home while we were gone then it was in Arizona. We got to go to the Lego store, which the boys loved. We played at a really fun park, visited with friends, made a gingerbread house and sugar cookies, ate at our favorite places, went to the movies, enjoyed a visit from Santa at the house and tried to get in some rest.
