2am or 6am???

Okay, so I need to share a funny story that happened last Sun - early morning. In the middle of the night I was getting ready to feed Eli and heard Aidan calling from his bedroom for his daddy. I tapped Jared on the arm and asked him to go and see what Aidan needed. He asked me what time it was, I responded, "it's 2". Jared is the ward clerk and has to get up at 6am on Sundays to be at church by 7am. Anyways Jared rolled over and I again tapped him on the arm and told him not to fall back asleep. He got up and instead of going to Aidan's room went to the bathroom. Aidan kept calling and for fear of the other kids waking up I went to his room - he needed a drink and to use the bathroom. By this time Aidan, Adley, Eli and myself were all awake and Jared was still in the bathroom. I got the boys settled and got back in bed. Then I heard the shower turn on - I ran to the bathroom and proceeded to ask Jared 'what are you doing, it's 2 in the morning?' He looked at me puzzled, I repeated 'it's 2 in the morning'. He thought I was waking him up for his meetings and still doesn't remember me asking him to see what Aidan wanted. The story gets better. So Jared gets in bed and then I see hall/stairwell light on. Since I was finally feeding Eli at this point Jared went to see what was going on. Both the big boys were down stairs watching TV. He rounded up the kids told them it was the middle night and put them to bed. Aidan fell asleep pretty quick, but Adley was up past 3am. So on our way to church in the morning Aidan was complaining he was tired. I told him that was b/c he got up in the middle of the night and thought it was morning. He responded 'But daddy got in the shower'. Needless to say we all needed a good Sunday afternoon nap!!!!

Way too funny! There have been several days when Steve has gotten up to get ready for work and I wonder what the heck he's doing - because in my sleep deprived mind it's supposed to be Saturday or Sunday. Thanks for sharing!

Aidan is such a smarty he knows just what to say and it's always funny... Adam did that a few times when I was in High School but we let him get all the way ready and come out to eat breakfast, I'd be watching Jay Leno or something and he wondered why I was up!! Good Times. Have fun at work :-)

Liam's first time on River Rampage - he got drenched but loved every minute of it! Doesn't he look so small! We wanted to do one last fun summer trip for the boys before school starts this Thursday. We took a day trip to Dollywood. We got there a little after the park opened and it was not very crowded at all. We walked on almost every ride and if we had to wait it wasn't longer than a few minutes. Last time we were there in May Adley was just shy of being able to ride all the big rides. We learned about a place where they will measure you and give you an armband that has the appropriate color that corresponds with your height category. This way you are measured once and simply just have to show your armband to get on the ride. Adley was thrilled that he was tall enough this time to ride any ride in the park. Man do I love this little boy! He is full of squeals, smiles, slobbers, hugs, crumbs and dirt. He is at such a fun age. Liam says a lot through the faces he makes because he is quite stubborn and shy and still not wanting to talk much. He says a hand full of words, shakes his head yes and no and is starting to make different sounds. He is making progress so I am not too worried anymore. And if you haven't heard or noticed....no more pacifier....Yay! Liam is growing up so fast but is still my most snugly baby. He loves to rock in the chair before nap and bed and when he gets up in the morning he often times runs to my room to crawl in bed with me for more snuggles. I just love it! Up next, to turn his crib into a toddler bed....then all signs of 'babyness' will be gone, ah so sad! Liam learned how to climb anything recently, kind of scary! It's been a while . . .

since I last posted. We have been so busy this month. Adley had his Christmas program at his preschool - they studied Italy and dressed so cute. They sang the song, "when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore . . ." (not sure of the exact title). Adley has sung it several times since to many people. I think he might be musical when he gets older. We all recovered from our sickness and made the journey to Arizona to see my family. We spent 12 days there and had a wonderful time. Surprisingly it was warmer here at home while we were gone then it was in Arizona. We got to go to the Lego store, which the boys loved. We played at a really fun park, visited with friends, made a gingerbread house and sugar cookies, ate at our favorite places, went to the movies, enjoyed a visit from Santa at the house and tried to get in some rest.
