Parenting or lack thereof!!!

As mentioned in a previous post we went to Chick-Fil-A for their Tuesday free kids meal and superhero night. Well we went again this past Tuesday, this week they had a petting zoo next door. It was really really busy - and really really loud. At one point Adley even covered his ears and said 'Daddy can you tell everybody to be quiet?' After we ate we were leaving the restaurant to go next door to the petting zoo when I noticed a little girl that was about 18 mos old. She was bare foot (yuck) and wandering around CFA. I looked around to see if someone was looking for her or calling her name. At this point, someone else was coming in CFA and she was going out the door all by herself. I set Liam down in his car seat and picked her up. I asked a few women if the little girl belonged to them. NO ONE claims her! I let the manager know and he seems perplexed as to what to do. The little girl isn't even scared that a complete stranger is holding her. Finally another wo

Free Chick-Fil-A

For the month of May, on Tuesdays our local Chick-Fil-A was giving away free kids meals for dinner time. We decided to go yesterday (who wouldn't - 3 free kids meals). It was also super-hero night as well. So we dressed up the kids and off we went. It was very very crowded and very very noisy, BUT we had a great time. We ate dinner and then stood in line for the kids to get their faces painted (free as well). The owner was even dressed up as Superman and the CFA cow was there. Also for those of you that don't know - if your child doesn't want to keep the toy in the kids meals at CFA you can exchange it for a small ice cream cone. Next Tuesday is a petting zoo in the vacant lot next to CFA. We will definitely be there!!!

kids say the funniest things . . .

Adley: "Mommy, who did Liam come out of?" Me: "He came out of me." Adley: "Well what hole did he come out of, your belly button?" Me: "Not exactly" (I did go on to explain in 4yr old understanding how Liam came out, Adley seemed satisfied - thank goodness!) The next day - Adley: "Mommy, before Liam came out of you, you were kinda fat" Me: "Thanks Adley"

Visitors

As I mentioned in a previous post my parents and my grandma came to visit us. They came to meet Liam for the first time and be here when he was blessed. My grandma really liked meeting Liam b/c his middle name is the same as my grandpa's who passed away in 2003. They stayed for about a week. We had the opportunity to do so many fun activities together - many that I hadn't done even though we have lived here for 6 yrs. We went to a famous poets home/farm. I didn't take the kids through the tour of the house but we did go and visit the goats. They recently had a set of twins and triplet goats born. The kids got to pet the baby goats. Here are a few pictures: On our walk up to the house Adley & my dad Kids - in more ways than one 2 of the triplet kids We also went to another old farm that was having it's annual celebration with crafts, food, entertainment, etc. The kids had a great time and the food was delicious! Liam's checkup

Image
Liam had his 2 month checkup on the 29th of April (yes I know I am behind in posting!). He weighed 13 lbs 8.5oz, 24 inches long and his head is 16.5 inches. All above the 90%. He is quite the chubby boy, but not like his brothers were - they were all over 14lbs by 2 months. Liam is starting to make some noises and coo at us. He will even smile on purpose now too. He loves his swing and he likes to kick his legs. He is sleeping well at night and usually only wakes up once to eat - thank goodness b/c it has been so hard for me this time around to stay awake while feeding him in the middle of the night. Here are some recent pictures. His skin is getting better - yeah!

Liam's blessing

Image
On Sunday April 26th, Liam was blessed at church. We felt very blessed that my parents and my grandma were able to come for the special occasion. For those of you who aren't members of my church - when a child is born they are given a blessing, by a man who holds the priesthood. This blessing can take place at home or at church. In the blessing they are given the name which they are known by on the church records and then they are given a priesthood blessing as the Spirit directs the priesthood holder. This does not make them a member of the church - that comes when they are baptized at the age of 8. The blessing simply places them on church records. Liam was blessed by Jared and he was lucky enough to have 3 uncles, and both grandpas present as well. It was a beautiful blessing. Unfortunately Liam did his 'business' in the nice white outfit promptly after his blessing, thus the pictures that follow of him and the family are of him in another outfit. Later in the
