Back to Normal

Well things are finally getting back to normal in our household after being sick all last week. Aidan actually had another small episode of throwing up on Tuesday night, but we have had no other episodes in 2 days so I think we are in the clear. Today was PJ day at Aidan's preschool - he wore his Superman PJ's. He said they popped popcorn and had a slumber party - how fun! I also had the chance to have my parent teacher conference with his teacher Miss Wilma. She reports that Aidan is doing very well and is a 'delight' to have in class. She said that he is ahead of other kids in most areas and is ready to start bringing home the easy reader books, since he is sounding out words all the time. The other day he read the word 'rescue' off of Adley's t-shirt. I am so proud of him as to how well he adapted to school and how he is so willing to learn new things. Hopefully he will be reading by the beginning of next year. Aidan recently told me that he wants t

More sickness

Sorry it has been awhile since I posted. Our entire family was hit by a stomach virus this past week. It seemed like everyday another member of the family started with some part of the virus. First it was Aidan, then Eli, then Jared, then Adley and then me. It has been a rough week, but thanks to Gatorade, gingerale, Pedialyte and my mother in laws homemade chicken noodle soup (which was fantastic and we were very thankful) I think we are all starting to feel a little bit better. Unfortunately the sickness caused Aidan to miss his very first field trip and a Halloween party that our family was invited to by a kid from Aidan's preschool class. I know there will be more parties and more field trips but I felt sorry him - he had been counting down the days until he got to go to both of them. Hopefully we are done with being sick for a while as we are heading to AZ in a few weeks. I will post more during the week as Eli is now crawling and pulling up on things - I will try to get h

What we've been up to . . .

Funny Story - Last Thursday I let Aidan stay after preschool for lunch bunch. When I picked him up I asked him how his day went. The first thing out of his mouth was 'Mom, Emma likes me and I'm in love with her. We are going to get married'. I then asked Aidan what happened to Ella Lee or 'Ella S' as he likes to call her. She is girl that he liked because he said that she wears pretty bows in her hair. He said he still likes her but that he likes Emma and Lauren now too. If this is how it is in preschool already - what is it going to be like when he is 16!!! Not so funny story - I asked Aidan what he learned at school this past Thursday - following all of the marriage talk from above he told me that his friend John told him that sometimes boys marry boys and girls marry girls. I was in shock - I thought this wasn't an issue I was going to have to deal with until he was at least in the 5th or 6th grade - but preschool!!!! So I quickly told him that it wa
